Now a single device will work both as a circuit breaker and switch. E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced a miniaturised plug-in circuit breaker with combined switch functionality.
The device is designed to minimize downtime in automation applications and process control. Resettable replacements are provided for blade fuses and it can be conveniently installed by means of a complementary purpose designed terminal block system.

- E-T-A 1180 thermal CBE (circuit breaker for equipment) is stylish plug-in device designed for voltage ratings up to 250V AC or 65V DC.
- You can select the current rating from a wide range of values between 0.1 and 10A.
- It has optional press-on/press-off operation with tripped/off position clearly indicated by the pushbutton actuator.
- The new E-T-A 1180 will offer a permanent replacement for blade-type fuses.
Advantages
- The main advantage of this new device is that there will be no need to identify which fuse is blown. Instead of trying to locate a suitable replacement, simply press the button on the 1180 to instantly re-energise the circuit.
- The new CBE is designed with such a proficiency that it will avoid the nuisance tripping from short-term surges or transients, that are caused, for example, by motor startups.
