Random Dyeing
Some fabrics that use yarns are dyed in the hank in some color. Vertical or horizontal striped patterns are produced when colored yarns are located on the warp or weft. A multicolored yarn is produced when small sections of yarn are dipped into different color dye pots or smeared with variant colored dyes. When the yarn completes the woven process, streaks of hue are created along the warp or weft stripe. This method is called random dyeing.
Piece Dyeing
It is important that the colors that are used on a cloth are related to each other, in other words the tones of color should match with each other. For this it is recommended to weave a cloth in comparatively different colors and then dye the whole cloth in one color. After this, all colors on the cloth take on a tone or shade of the dye color.
Over Dyeing
Those who think that only white yarns can be dyed are considered to be wrong. A yarn which is already colored can dye perfectly with another colors and produce magnificent effects. For example, if one over dyes a turquoise cotton yarn with various colors such as blue, green or yellow, it can produce a range of closely relating colors.
