Netball Passing Drills

Passing drills in Netball is the primary and the most crucial activity. There are a number of different passes which are used while playing the game. Check out few of them here:

TYPES OF PASSES

Shoulder Pass
It is a flat hard pass. The technique is to put left foot forward while the ball is held high and push it straight ahead from the shoulder.



Chest Pass
Its a flat pass. Hold the ball putting both the hands and fingers behind the ball and the thumbs touching each other while moving forward with either foot.



Overhead
It is a high pass where the ball is released from above the head while stepping forward. Here the power is shifted from the wrist to the elbow.



Push Pass
Push pass is associated with bounce pass. It starts from the waist while the hands are behind the ball making a push from the waist and moving forward.

Bounce Pass
Bounce pass is a low pass which is used to feed the circle over a short distance. Here the release is low and a raise above the ground is noted.

Lob
Its a power and speed drill. The ball is held up high while stepping forward and the push is made from the waist.
