The requisite sports equipments for every sport are extremely necessary. One should be well equipped with the required equipments to learn or play the game in a proper manner. Same is the case with skateboard too, one needs to be ready with all the skateboard equipments to either learn or go skateboarding.

Following are the requisite skateboarding equipments:

Skateboard
Skateboard is the main equipment for this particular sport. It is a board attached to a wheelbase where the distance between front and back wheels is at an approximate length of both the shoulders. The structure is so that it renders maximum control to the skateboarder.

Shoes
Since the shoes in skateboarding generally, wear off quickly due to constant rubbing at the skateboard's grip tape hence, it is wise to get a pair of shoes made specifically for skateboarding. This would help in a longer shoe life.

Wheels
Skateboard wheels are available in a wide range of variety as per the various requirements. Bigger wheels are generally used for ramps and large skate parks while smaller wheels are used for street skating. Experts recommend a set of 52 to 55 millimeter of wheels for beginners.

Pads
Plastic-cap knee and elbow pads provide safety to the skateboarders while skating. Hence, it is wise to brace the body with such pads to avoid possible injuries. In case you plan to skate on stairs, ledges or handrails make sure that you are equipped with soccer pads.

Helmet
Helmet it must while skateboarding for the obvious reason of avoiding any kind of serious head injuries.
