Rubber Adhesive: Application Instructions

Rubber adhesives are special gluey substances used for the purpose of metal to metal pasting or rubber to metal pasting. Since its usage is a bit different from other adhesives, it comprises of special additives and chemicals to increase the pasting intensity as well as be durable enough to withstand extremely hot or cold temperatures. Metals like aluminum, steel, copper etc. use rubber adhesives as a bonding agent for pasting purposes.

Here are the application instructions regarding a rubber adhesive:

Inspect the Metal Structure
Check the joint design of the metals to be pasted so that you have a fair idea of the component and your requirements regarding the same. Prior inspection of the structure can also decrease the chances of potential failure of the planned task. Besides, one can also decide on to a suitable adhesive for the same.

Swipe Clean the Metal Surface
Make sure that the metal surface is swiped cleaned to remove all kinds of dirt, dust and grease. In fact, the surface needs to be cleaned chemically by using either acetone or isopropyl alcohol.

Latex v/s Nitrile Rubber Gloves

The types of rubber gloves differ as per the different fields wherein they are being used. The durability of such gloves depends on the kind of requirement for which it is called for. The most popular of all are the latex gloves which are often used in the medical field. Though Nitrile rubber gloves are also used for medical purposes except surgery, latex rubber is found better for surgical usage.

Latex rubber is characterized by ample amount of elasticity, slip resistance and durable material form. Since it is leak and tear resistant, medical professionals prefer to use only latex gloves in surgery. Also, these gloves are exceptional in wet or watery situations, thereby providing extra sensitivity to the wearer while using surgical tools and instruments. Being light and fitting, it lets the wearer get hold of things in the most natural manner.

Nitrile on the other hand is an alternative to latex rubber. Nitrile rubber is a synthetic rubber hence, sans protein. Thus, these rubber gloves are safe to use without being allergic to the skin. Nitrile gloves interact with the heat of the wearer's -palms, thereby providing a snug and cozy fit for increased sensitivity.

Rubber Bullet Traps: The Myth of Fire Resistance

At times circulation of incomplete information leads to beliefs which are absolutely baseless or too far fetched from the actual situation. Same is the case with a myth related to rubber bullet traps. Most of the people in our society has this illusion that rubber bullet traps are fire resistant, in other words, rubber bullets berms cannot catch fire. Not many know that though the rubber bullets are treated with fire retardant chemicals but even then, those are not completely fire resistant. In reality, a full size trap on a shooting range, can collect huge amounts of un-spent gunpowder and flammable debris of paper and cardboard targets.

There are lots of other reasons which can lead to fire at a rubber bullet berm. Also, a number of scientific discoveries are taking place for tackling this hazardous problem of potential fire break out at rubber bullet traps.
