A bearing arrangement or bearing application is not just about the rolling device but also about the fittings attached with it like, shaft and housing. Besides, lubricant also plays an important part in the bearings working as it acts as a protective agent against corrosion and wear and tear of the bearing. Seal and of course, cleanliness are other major elements which hold importance in terms of bearing arrangement and its service life.
There are a couple of things which need to be determined before designing a rolling bearing arrangement. Such as:
- Selection of suitable bearing type
- Determining a suitable bearing size
- Corresponding form and design of other fellow components within the arrangement.
- Take care of the holding devices
- Ensure adequacy of seals
